San Fran/Tahoe

2012 is starting off strong with one girls weekend after another ;) I flew out to San Fran to meet Muge for the weekend before heading down to San Diego for work and boy did we have a blast! 

Our first day we enjoyed in San Fran, checking out all the cute areas around town, before making a road trip to Tahoe.  But what road trip is complete without a few detours.  And what detour is better than Napa ;) 

With a few bottles of wine in tow we finally arrived in Tahoe.  It was an amazing weekend full of skiing and spaiing ;)  I could really get use to this!

Cali's BDay

We've started a new tradition for Cali's Birthday, Walnut Creek!  It's a great off leash park with creeks and paths for our pup to explore.  She loves it and so do we.  Happy 7th BDay Cali Girl!!!

Back to School

Shaun's official a college student!  It's back to books but I'm sure he'll use this as an excuse for a keg party or two over the coming semesters ;)

Girls Weekend

While the boys are away the girl will play ;)  While Shaun was out living it up in Vegas, Meredith came to Austin for an early birthday celebration.  We had a great weekend filled with day trips and excursions.

We headed straight to Fredericksburg from the airport and enjoyed a leisurely lunch in town followed by a hike up Enchanted Rock.  This is one of Central Texas' great finds!

Then the next day we enjoyed a morning walk/run around the lake with a fabulous brunch at Paggi House for our reward.  And the day just got better from there.  We headed out to Lost Pines Resort for a Spa Day filled with massages, scrubs, Jacuzzi, champagne, it doesn't get much better than this! 

What Happens in Vegas Stays in Vegas

Shaun enjoyed another guys weekend in Vegas and surprise surprise there are no pictures to document his adventures...I'm sure that was intentional ;)  The boys headed out West for BDays Bachelor Party and supposedly squeezed in some innocent outings to the Hover Dam and the Mirage Sports Book but that's all I really have to share on the subject.  Congrats BDay, I hope the boys gave you a weekend you'll never forget!

Christmas Vacation

We headed back to Virginia for Christmas this year and boy did we pack a lot in!  Cali girl got to join us, it was her first flight in quite some time but she was great!  It wouldn't have been a true family Christmas without her ;)

We spent the week with friends and family and it was really hard to leave, we miss everyone in Virginia so much!  It was great to see Catherine and all her little ones, my old BearingPoint coworkers, some girls nights and guys nights of course, and visits to our old stomping grounds like Jimmy's, Rio, & Ray's.  We also acted like tourists and spent one day downtown visiting the National Botanical Gardens & the Library of Congress.  This city has so much to offer, we took that for granted when we lived here!

The grand finale was a New Year's Eve to remember at Chez DeMay!  Our usual crew plus some enjoyed an amazing house party with vodka soaked Gummy Bears, card games, and entertainment from the one and only piano man, Mr. Chris DeMay himself!
