What's February without another adventure to Vermont?!?! Even if it means driving through a treatourous snow storm throughout the Northeast, it's all part of the adventure right =) Each year we tend to get a little more daring, last year we were zipping down black diamonds and then this year we were doing stunts. Shaun White who? You've got nothing on us!

Lazy Acres
It was so perfect that Valentine's Day fell on a long weekend this year! We escaped to a cabin out in Lexington, VA and enjoyed the snow covered mountains, wineries, and some much needed R&R. The view was just amazing from our cabin, we literally had horses in our backyard.
While we disappeared for the weekend our house was taken over by the North Carolina Geiger Clan. We made it back in time to spend our last night with the family and hosted the extended family for a Valentine's Celebration feasting on lasagna and laughs! This was our largest and funest dinner party to date, 13 adults and 10 kids. It's scary to think the adults are almost out numbered?!?!

Snow Bowl 2010
So our track record isn't that great?!?! Every time we try to host a party Mother Nature intervenes. This time her message was heard loud and clear...29 inches and blizzard conditions!
But we didn't let that stop the festivities, our annual Super Bowl Bash was going to happen one way or another. After a week of snow the plows had gotten some of the roads into drivable conditions so even our fair weather fans were able to join. Everything was going smoothly until the snow and ice froze our satellite dish and knocked out our HD receiver...can you sense the panic?!?! We were so determined to watch the Super Bowl that we even tried sending Shaun up onto the roof to clear the dish. Apparently he didn't think that was a smartest aka safest idea, so much for living on the wild side. But it all worked out in the end and we were able to tune in.

Let's Get Ready to Rumble!!!
Who knew tight wranglers and cowboy boots could create such a stir?!?! We headed up to Baltimore for the George Straight concert and had the most fun random night up until a street fight broke out right in front of our eyes. We didn't let it ruin our night though, after all we did just see George!!! Although, I think we might think twice about returning to Baltimore.
Three's Company
We have an announcement, there is a new addition to our family!!! No it's not a baby, which I'm sure several of you thought, but actually a 30 year old. My good friend Katie "Kidd" Krantz got a job offer in DC so low and behold we have a new roomie until her and her hubby can eventually move to the West Coast. Welcome Katie and Brian we promise to take good care of her!
I'm sure we have our neighbors wondering if we're Mormons as Shaun has multiple blondes coming in and out of the house, haha. We love having company so when Katie flies home on the weekends to Chicago we have Meredith, our old neighbor, come over and play. We've been trying to convince her to move out to the suburbs but that's a hard sell when you work in the city. We'll keep trying though because Cali loves her new playmate Maddie!
