Sara Visit's

I miss my partner in crime!  Sara came to visit this weekend and not only did we have such a great time hanging out but she also inspired the nursery decor!

We spent Saturday on the shopping circuit, hitting every store around town from baby boutiques to consignment stores and really lucked out with some fabulous finds.  Thanks to the vision of Sara, it all started with a wooden wheelbarrell, we are turning the nursery into a vintage Peter the Rabbit type theme and I'm just so excited to get the remaining accent pieces to pull it all together!  Here is a sneak peek at what's to come:

After such a successful day (I stayed under budget) Shaun rewarded us with a fabulous dinner at Trulucks and night out on the town!  We had recently discovered this super secret bar downtown that has no signage or advertising that we've been anxious to check out.  You actually have to make reservations to get in and get a password to use at the door.  The entire concept is really neat as its styled from the prohibition era and once you get in they wheel up a bar to your table and make customized cocktails that are to die for.  I loved the "Mocktail" concoctions they created for me as well.

Needless to say the weekend went too fast but I can't thank Sara enough for such a fun & productive weekend.  I'm so excited to continue the nursery decorating process and wouldn't have been able to get this far without her!

Fishing Trip

My jaw dropped when I heard the boys were trading in their annual Vegas weekend for a Fishing Trip instead?!?!  Although, now that casinos are legal in Maryland I can see gambling getting worked into this trip too ;)

We both headed up to DC for the weekend and while I enjoyed a relaxing weekend catching up with the girls Shaun headed off to Bethany Beach for a wild weekend with the boys, or so I thought.  It turns out they didn't even make it out on the town Saturday night.  I guess the fishing excursion was a little rougher than expected and turned almost all of the guys green and hanging over the edge of the boat.  But regardless the boys still had a blast!

LA Baby

We were trying to squeeze in a Babymoon but at the same time trying to save up all our leave for the baby's arrival, so we opted for a low key weekend away to the City of Angels!  Plus, I've been dying to go on a shopping spree at Bel Bambini ever since I found out I was pregnant ;)

It was the perfect weekend away, we stayed at the Beverly Hilton and hit up all our old hot spots/stomping grounds.  We caught a show at the Laugh Factory one night that was hysterical and another had a posh night out on the town.  During the day we hiked Runyan and enjoyed the beach in Malibu, perfect combo if you ask me.  The weekend went by too fast but we look forward to coming back with our little girl someday and sharing all our LA favorites with her!
