Saratoga Springs

Track season was calling, we headed up to Saratoga for the weekend to enjoy some time with the Richards and check out their new town in prime season.  We went to the racing museum and spent a day at the track.  Shaun was in all his glory!

The Big Apple

We spent our 4 Year "Fruit" Anniversary in the Big Apple!  It will definitely be a memorable one as we acted like Rock Stars staying at the Waldorf Astoria and dining at Del Posto.  If only we could keep this lifestyle up for longer than a day ;)

We arrived into town and ventured to a little wine bar recommend by the DeMays before heading out to dinner.  We had a very long and leisurely dinner with probably the best service we've ever received in our lives.  Then we joined Muge for a night cap to end the evening with one of our favs!

Luckenbach

We found the Fest Out West!  One of our favorite spots on the outskirts of town is definitely Luckenbach, TX.  We headed out there for, surprise, another festival and enjoyed a laid back afternoon listening to music and people watching.  We've invented a new game since moving to Texas, we see who can spot the most cell phone holders hanging from the waist.  It's not a hard find around here ;)

Pfirecracker Pfestival

We had the best 4th of July, it was kinda random last minute plans but it worked out perfectly.  Our town has an annual festival around the lake; live music, vendors, fireworks, etc. so we decided to check it out this year.  We rented a paddle boat so we could be out on the water for the fireworks.  Granted it was a lot of work to stay in the location we wanted but a cool breeze and cooler full of beer and we were just fine.  We had an amazing view of the fireworks and really enjoyed some quality time together!  This is something that could definitely turn into a new tradition.

DC

There is nothing like a trip back to VA to make you feel homesick.  We have so many amazing family & friends in the area our trips back are just never long enough.  We miss you all and enjoy every second of our visits!

I was in town for work and Shaun arrived on Thursday to join the fun.  The whole trip was kind of a whirlwind because it was so packed.  Thursday we had an amazing night out in Shirlington with Mario & Elda, then Friday I enjoyed a day with Catherine while Shaun hit the links.  We met up with the Carlson for dinner on Friday night and on Saturday were able to meet the newest addition to the Donald clan.  We moved on to the winery, in a heat wave I might add, but that didn't stop all our amazing friends from coming out.  The party continued as a few of us headed back to the DeMays and out to dinner to keep the good times alive.  Then Sunday we headed out to Baltimore with the fam to catch the O's game and some hard crabs on the waterfront.  Monday we had our grand finale at the Rio Grande before flying home.  No trip is ever complete without some chips & a swirl!  Like I said kind of non-stop but we wouldn't have it any other way ;)
