Easter

Texas is finally starting to feel like home, while we would have loved to spend the holiday with family we were stuck here in town and ended up celebrating Easter with some friends instead.  We went to 8am Mass and then met up with Carrie, Casey, Erik, & Carla for Easter Brunch at Moonshine.  Then surprise surprise we headed off to Reds to throw some bags.  We ended up spending most of our day there but loved every second of it.  It's great to finally have a strong network of friends here.  And to top the day off we finally went public and make our official announcement on Facebook!

Registry Madness

In the middle of March Madness we managed to squeeze in our own madness which consisted of 8 hours of baby registry shopping at three different stores.  But Daddy got rewarded with Beer and Basketball and we both seemed to stay sane through it all.  It was actually a lot easier and less overwhelming than we thought.  Although, I have to give credit to all the tips we received from our friends that have already been through it.  Otherwise, I'm sure the day would have ended with a lot more madness than success ;)

Tourney Time

We headed back to Red's for their Cornhole Tournament and walked away with two big surprises, Casey won the tournament and the Davis' are expecting!!!  We are so thrilled for them and excited to have partners in crime through this pregnancy/newborn adventure!

Sunday Funday

St. Patrick's Day and the Rodeo all rolled into one, what a perfect end to the weekend!  The Rodeo had a ton of great acts this year but we chose to go on a day that had one of country's legends, Merle Haggard.  What a great first concert for our little girl, not that she'll remember ;)

Canoeing & Cornhole

We spent Saturday enjoying two of our favorite activities!  Carrie & Casey hadn't been out on Town Lake yet so we decided to rent some canoes and spend the day soaking up some rays.  Afterwards we headed over to Reds so the boys could throw some bags.  Little did we know we'd be starting a new tradition.  Apparently they have cornhole tournaments at Reds every so often so it looks like this will be our new second home moving forward ;)

It's A...

Girl!  That's right, we were able to find out the sex at only 15 weeks thanks to the new found wonders of 3D Sonograms.  We went in for our appointment today not knowing what to expect, even kind of hesitant that it might be too early to tell.  But our little girl wasn't shy and our technician was confident that we indeed will be welcoming a little girl to our family in August!

Kite Festival

This year we headed down to the festival prepared, we had a picnic lunch and kites that we were ready to launch.  Unfortunately, the process to find parking at the festival this year was a nightmare and I had to dig into our picnic before we even made it there as I was starving.  But once we finally found parking we did have a good time.  Carrie & I didn't last long in the kite competition, ours got tangled and taken down pretty quickly.  But Shaun once again proved he has some kite flying skills and out lasted all of us!

Double Date Night

One of our friends, Carla, is a true foodie.  She works for Auguste Escoffier School of Culinary Arts and is always on top of the latest and greatest restaurants opening around town.  We love exploring town with her as she knows the best spots to hit up for fun/fancy drinks, great atmosphere, and amazing food.  Well tonight's pick was no different, we went to Sway which is modern, family style, Thai restaurant that opened not too long ago.  The evening was a blast and we'll definitely be going back!
