Princesses and the Pup

I've been counting down the days like it was my own wedding, congrats to Wills and Kate! We celebrated in style here in Austin, Meredith even flew in for the occasion ;) The champagne was chilled, tea sandwiches cut, and alarms set for 4am. Yes, that's right we were up BEFORE the crack of dawn to enjoy every last detail of the Royal Wedding. I don't think I've been that clued to the TV since inauguration?!?!

BDay and Bunny

It's that time of year again; taxes, birthdays, and Easter! Good luck to Mama Geiger with the tax deadline and Happy Birthday to Sara, Peter, and Kayla!!!

Eric surprised Sara with a weekend getaway for her birthday this year. Talk about a win/win situation, they get an adults weekend away and we get a fun filled weekend with Alli! We had a girls night pajama party on Friday and then Mr. Shaun met us the next day for the Easter Festival. I don't know who had more fun, me or Alli?!?!


The celebration didn't end there though. The Easter bunny must have been so impressed with our holiday spirit that he delivered double Easter Baskets to our house the following weekend ;)

The Donald

Lucky for us, Texas seems to be a draw for conferences and conventions so we've had several visitors drop in due to work commitments. The latest to grace our precence was the Donald himself ;)

It was a quick trip but it was like we were all roomies again. We enjoyed the Thursday night line-up on TV while vegging on the couch with pizza in hand, ah the good old days! The boys played hooky on Friday and enjoyed the lake, downtown Austin, and some of our local PVille establishments. The visit was way too short but we'll take anytime we can get with friends and family now that we're so far away!

Coors & Oars

It was the weekend of Eric and boy was it fun! We've been lucky enough to explore a lot of Austin in the last few months but poor Eric has been cooped up in the office all this time. So for his b-day we decided to go all out and show him what he's been missing ;)

A few weekends ago we discovered one of our new favorite activities, canoeing or kayaking along Lady Byrd Lake, and each time we go it just gets better and better! This time the boys were brave enough to jump off the bridge, crazy?!?! Maybe a canoe full of cold ones gave them some extra courage but needless to say it was a great way to kick-off the b-day weekend!

That evening we made our rounds around Austin and invented our own new game, Merm'd. Let’s just say it’s the latest and greatest version of Iced and way cooler ;)

The next day we continued the celebration and discovered a fabulous Brunch at the Belmont. Bottomless Mimosa's need I say more?!?!

Guinness Book of World Records

Cali is the first member of our family to set a World Record! We participated in the Mighty Texas Dog Walk and are now part of the elite crowd entered into the Guinness Book of World Records for the largest dog walk to date. Texas really knows how to do it up big! Not only was this the largest dog walk but it was so over the top and well organized. They had various pet vendors, kids entertainment, giveaways, beer tents, live music, and all the free Beggin Strips a dog could ask for! We love this city, it's so dog and people friendly ;)
