Home Stretch

We've finally made it to the 9th Month!  The closer we get to the due date the slower time seems to move.  And the closer we get to the due date we also realize what a stubborn little one we have on our hands.  We went for our 36 week checkup today and unfortunately all our crazy tricks haven't worked, baby is still breech.  So the doctor scheduled a procedure for next week to try and flip her themselves.  Fingers crossed that works?!?!

5 & Dime Anniversary

So this year marked our 5 year Wedding Anniversary & our 10 year Dating Anniversary.  I thought I could get away with a cheap gift from the 5 & dime store but opted for a more traditional gift to go with the "wood" anniversary theme.  Over the years we've had a lot of fun with the anniversary themes and this year was no different.  We had to get a little creative to pull in the "wood" theme but we made it work.  On Friday, we played hooky from work and spent the day in the woods, we floated in the Blue Hole under the Cypress trees and then enjoyed a nice dinner at Bob's Steak & Chop House.  Then we continued the festivities with a staycation at a "Woodsy" resort called the Hyatt Lost Pines.  This place was amazing, we'll definitely be coming back with the little one in tow as it's very family friendly with nightly S'Mores, Movies Under the Stars, & 3 different pools to choice from.

What a Weekend!

Shaun got a boys night and I got a shopping spree, doesn't get much better than that ;)  Tim was in town for a Bachelor Party so Shaun was able to enjoy Friday night out on the town with all his buddies.  Of course that meant that Saturday was a long recovery day but it was all worth it because Sunday I was able to shop to my hearts content.  We received an email for a registry closeout event where you get 20% anything left on your Registry at BuyBuyBaby.  I had all these gift cards from work so with limited money out of our pocket we were able to get our fancy dancy stroller and all the other last minute odds and ends still on our registry.  It felt like winning the lottery!

Baby is Breech

Shaun & I have both been told we're stubborn before, guess Baby J is following in our footsteps already ;)  We have been trying to get pictures of our little girl during a 3D sonogram and she hasn't been cooperating.  The lady there is so nice and keeps rescheduling us to come back when she's more active and not in a ball but low and behold on our last attempt they discovered she's now breech so there isn't much they can do. We went to our doctor today and she confirmed our little one does have a boney butt which tricked her into thinking she was head down already.  So now we have a long laundry list of funny stunts to try to get her to flip:
  1. Burn Moxi Sticks by my Pinky Toes
  2. Yoga Moves
  3. Lie Upside Down on an Ironing Board at an Incline
  4. Play Music Low on My Belly
  5. Shine a Flashlight Low on My Belly
  6. Somersaults in the Pool
You name it, we're gonna try it!  We really hope she flips on her own so we can avoid any additional procedures and/or CSection.  Fingers Crossed!!!

Surprise!!!

I was heading out to San Diego for my last work trip and final flight before baby arrives.  But don't worry the surprise isn't that baby arrived early it was that my amazing coworkers threw me a surprise baby shower.  I was honestly shocked because they pulled out all the stops.  They blacked out the windows on our conference room so I couldn't see all of the decorations, treats and pressies.  Then while at the shower they decorated my cube.  I mean they really went all out, we played games, enjoyed punch & homemade treats, indulged in Sprinkles cupcakes, was spoiled with all sorts of gifts including handmade blankets and sweaters, and the generosity didn't stop there the whole gang chipped in to get us our fancy dancy stroller.  I love my team and company and really feel like I have a second home and family out in California!

We're Officially Texans!

Shaun's dream finally came true!  He is the proud owner of a Ford F150 PickUp Truck.  And I have to admit it I think the truck is pretty sweet too.  The inside is huge, it seats more people than our SUV, so crazy.  I think we're gonna have a lot of fun new adventures in this car!!!

However, as exciting of a day this was for Shaun it was very bittersweet as I had to say goodbye to my beloved Jeep.  It was time to trade it in before it actually up and died on us but this car has taken me to California and back and has so many great mileage memories on it!
