Hide N Seek

We went back for our second 3D sonogram this week and Baby J just wasn't having it?!?!  She was all crunched up in a ball with her feet in front of her face and arms stretched across her eyes.  She gave us a quick 10 second sneak peek at her face, just enough time to yawn and get a quick pic of her button nose.  Our technician was so nice she rescheduled us for next week, free of charge, so we can hopefully get a better view.  Fingers crossed!!!

New Bling

This week we broke a 100 degrees here in Austin so guess what that means...swollen fingers.  Yup, it's time to make the switch to my new fake bling ;)

Tubing Take Two

This is now an annual adventure, camping/tubing on Canyon Lake!  I say camping but at 7 months pregnant is was more like glamping.  We had a nice air conditioned cabin with 2 king size beds, full kitchen, and shower.  It doesn't get much better to be honest.  Even the rest of group were only roughing it in RVs so what can I say, we camp in style!  Last year we joined my boss and all her friends from Dallas for a weekend on the River and now we're locked in for the annual trip.  They had us at Flabongo ;)

 

The Big 3-0!

If only I was 30 again, but this is another 30 that I'm happy to celebrate!  We've finally made it to 30 weeks and it feels like we're in the home stretch now.  Our doctor visits have increased to every other week and before long we'll be down to every week.  Let's hope the time flies because we are certainly ready and anxious to meet our baby girl!

Another One Bites the Dust

Since moving to Austin, we've been lucky to meet some amazing people.  Unfortunately, Austin seems to be a transitional city so not all of them stay that long.  First we lost the Richards and now this month we are losing both Erik & the Davis'. 

Erik was our first friend in Austin, we actually met him at our going away party in Virginia and found out we were all moving to Austin within 2 weeks of each other.  He got the opportunity of a lifetime to move back to Seattle where his family lives so we're thrilled for him but he will definitely be missed here!

Tonight was our last night out on the town with the Carrie & Casey.  We tried to keep it authentic to Austin with HH at the Hula Hut, Bat Boat, & 6th Street.  Our buddies are leaving us for Atlanta, we wish them all the best but can't wait for them to return to Austin, hint hint!  Carrie & Casey have become our second half between cornhole leagues, movie nights, Bachelor/ette viewing parties and most recently going through pregnancy together.  They're expecting a little boy 2 months after us and we hope work will bring them back to Austin so our kids can grow up together!

Baby Shower

Baby Shower Round 2!  I'm so lucky to be spoiled with such an amazing family and friends that I get not just one Baby Shower but Two!

We headed up to DC for the weekend and as always tried to squeeze in as many visits as possible.  My high school friend, Erica, was in town so I was finally lucky enough to meet her husband and daughter.  It was so great to catch-up but at the same time felt like not a day has passed, that is what true friendship is all about!  Shaun was able to reconnect with lots of his buddies as well, he even scored an overnight trip to Charlestown Races & Slots so he was a happy camper.  We were able to fit in a few day trips as well; a day at the wineries and trip up to Annapolis to explore the Naval Academy.

The main event was on Saturday, my friends (Sara, Bonnie, Erika, Meredith & Amy) threw me a shower that was unimaginable!  Every little detail was amazing and I was just blown away!  I actually kept some of the decorations to incorporate into the nursery.  I can't thank the girls enough, this was such a special day and everything they did had the perfect touch ;)
